i played this game some time ago, its realy a very good metroidvania
That’s exactly what I thought too!! I never heard of this game and I’m a diehard Metroid & Dark Souls type gamer, especially the 2D indie variants. Before today I assumed if I hadn’t heard of it by now, it couldn’t be any good, because I’ve scoured the internet for this genre and have inhaled most all games that are in it.
But then I read some VERY interesting reviews on Steam by players who have 200, 300, 500 hours in this game saying they’re still not sick of it. Saying its mind-blowing. Top tier genre platformer. Limitless things to do in it. I’m like, whaaaat??
4 hours later I can easily say GRIME is one of THE best 2D Metroidvania/Soulsbourne games I’ve ever played. In fact, depending on what else the game has in store for me, I could see this becoming my all-time favorite Metroid-Vannia-souls-bourn-indie-side-scroller by a mile. It’s so unique yet so familiar. It ticks all the boxes I’m always looking for in these games.
I’m definitely going to buy this game. Support the developers on this one, guys. It doesn’t cost too much, and the lead guy has been communicating with the players throughout the development in order to deliver what gamers want. Pretty sweet hidden gem here.
