Hi, i lost my save with this update… How can I get it back ?
first off dont play the game as may replace your save file. look in your save folder if there is any file. If not then you are pretty much fucked
then if there IS a file copy and paste it in another folder, now then play the game and save, close the game and finally look for the new save file and replace it with your old save.

the reason is the crack files from the update change the save file id
Regarding old SAVE GAME (cause was because update only above or full updated game above use GOLDBERG crack not RUNE, somehow use RUNE crack is not working with this new update that why RUNE still not released an update only), but here is a way to load back your old save with v1.0.4 update:
FYI to edit steamID in save data if needed. It seems to be the first 8 bytes of SystemData.dat and GraphicSetting.vdat. But in SaveData.dat, it is bytes 4-11. Generate a new SystemData.dat with your desired Steam ID, then copy the first 8 bytes of SystemData.dat into bytes 4-11 of your SaveData and it should load. I’ve confirmed it works for me.
=> Posted some screenshots from HxD for reference. Just copy and paste the highlighted texted in system/graphic data and paste it into your save data.

** The game saves in the same location, irrespective of crack “AppData\Local\GBFR\Saved\SaveGames”

Can you find this kind of solution too; for Monster Hunter Rise Empress version save file, updated to P2P / Fitgirl version?
For MH rise, u need to fine the steam_id from empress save file folder, then copy it to the txt file of P2P crack game folder, then move all the save file into local_save folder of P2P crack
I just done it last month and it work, get back my 100hours save, but now I delete MH rise to play relink so I not remember the correct step and folder name

How is that 1.0.3 version is like 64GB and this one almost 80GB yet update only file is less than 130mb? I don’t think that downloading the update only file will solve all the issues. There should be a reason why this 1.0.4 version is bigger than the last one.
This is Goldberg and the other was rune. I don’t know the specifics, but it’s possible a different type of compression was used.

I forgot to mention that, the solution for the save file @Pablo gave us works, BUT for me, I had to follow this steps.
1. Update the game and run it.
2. The game will say it didn’t find a save game, press ok.
3. Open Task Manager and close the game.
4. Follow @Pablo steps (you must copy the values from your old system.dat into the new files the game created)
5. Open the game again.
6. The game will prompt you to configure the game as if you were starting fresh, don’t worry.
7. If you followed all the steps correctly, you will be able to click on “continue”.
8. Enjoy your old save file. 🙂

I have the official game and tested on my PC too. Don’t waste your time if you have black screen or can’t play when you click on “.exe”.

For my attempt it was way easier. FYI I am using the RUNE version + Online Fix crack from (Online-fix.me)
Just download the update provided by @Steven. After you have downloaded the Update.v1.0.4.zip file
. There will be 2 folders within the ZIP. Ignore the “Crack” folder as that uses crack from GOLDBERG.
Only copy the 3 files in the “Update” folder : data.0, data.i , and the .exe file into the games main folder.
Done~ After launching the game, it will ask you to read the disclaimers again, just click accept all and you will see the bottom right corner changed to v.1.0.4 and you be able to continue your Save file after update.
for me that not worked, when I open the game justs open Steam and a message saying that there’s a error with the licence, but the game is “playable” just fine on my potato pc, so I guess I will wait to a proper RUNE Update or playing like that, I just roped for some performance otimizations but like I said, potato pc….
I discovered why the game doesn’t work on my PC.
My PC is equipped with an Intel I7 3770k and this game requires an AVX2 CPU.
that is, if your CPU was third generation like mine, you can forget about it and don’t waste time downloading it this game.

But that level 50 weapon is weak compared to what you can forge. In the end game loop, after finishing the game, content is a bit harder than in story mode. And you need way more than the DLC mastery points to max out all the characters upgrades. The “Over Mastery” LVL1 upgrade requires 700 mastery Points to unlock.
700×18 chars= 12,600 MSP needed to unlock their Over Mastery LVL1
I think you need to play the game more, before misinforming people.
P.S. You get around 1680 MSP off of all the DLC.
my pc is a AMD FX 6300 and 1050Ti, 16GB RAM and I’m Playing just fine with the FPS around 40 sometimes droping to 30/25 but for me nothing that ruin the experience

The very first comment posted the links that have the updated files. Keep in mind that this update won’t recognize your save file(s), but look for the comment made by @Pablo or the one I made explaining how to fix that issue.
I tried dowloading online fix but it dosent let me extract the onlinefix.dll i get a message that says I cant move it if I dont havt authrization

for those who were confused just like me, I finally had my old save from Rune working in goldberg.
here are the steps I did when my old save is not recognized by the new patch/crack
1. backup your old save file from the save folder (localappdata location is indicated by @pablo)
2. delete everything in the GBFR save folder(localappdata).
3. Run the game (yes it should be the newest patch/crack)
4. Play New Game.
5. Exit the game using task manager ( make sure that the game already created systemdata and savedata in the GBFR save folder(localappdata).
6. paste your old save data (backup) in the GBFR save folder (located in localappdata of your pc). (only the savedata and not the systemdata of your backup.)
7. open the newly created systemdata from the GBFR folder using HxD(software)
8. copy the values indicated by @pablo from the systemdata (the newly created one)
9. open your old savedata using HxD
10. paste the values from systemdata into your old savedata. make sure to read @pablo’s guide.
11. save it using HxD
12. open the Game and check if your old file is there.

Hi all, do you have a same problem when play a certain games, @4K native the game crash after a minute / heavy cutscene / gameplay when using an nvme m.2 ssd ??

it didn’t occur when play at resolution 1920x1080p
but @4K 3840x2160p it happens,
after that the nvme not detected after soft reset, just onto bios menu.
when i turn it off, and turn it on again, it goes to windows normally.
try to gaming again, then it happen again and again..
