The game wont boot up, stuck at loading screen.
make sure to add file exclusions to the EFT folder. and make sure to run AKI server FIRST and launcher last. make sure aki server says good to go or ready.
When I get to the launcher and try to start is just says I don’t own the game…

nope, only offl. mode vs bots, but with progression (ranking up,doing quests-lines, leveling your skills etc.), like you would online .. you can use lots of mods also, which makes it pretty funny

1; create another directory somewhere on your pc. For simplicity i will call this bypass ( Not sure but i think it need to be on your win C drive)
2; start regedit
3;navigate to Compute\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\windows\currentVersion\Uninstall
4: Right click on the Uninstall folder and create a new key with the name: EscapeFromTarkov
5; Select the new folder and right click on the right side and create a new string value with the name: UninstallString
6;Double Click on that new string and enter the calue of your bypass directory and an\Uninstall.exe at the end. Example C:\bypass\Uninstall.exe
7: Done with regedit, close it.
8 Copy files from downloaded game folder (Dont start the game or these files might be missing from it happen to me had to do a clean download)
to the Bypass folder.

Thanks for referring people to my previously written instructions, guys. I made a couple adjustments (got rid of a folder to make thing simpler, plus added something I previously forgot to add to step 2). Hopefully I got it right this time.
For the record, I downloaded the “Escape.From.Tarkov.v0.13.5.3.26535-P2P” Torrent. Uncompressed files, no installer. I kept getting the “game is not installed” error, but managed to fix it following some steps and using a tool posted by other users.
OK, to everyone getting said error, you can try to do the following:
1 – Pick the folder where you’ll keep the game installed, I chose “D:\Games\Tarkov”; my directory ended up being “D:\Games\Tarkov\Client.0.13.5.3.26535”. ***IF YOU CHOOSE DIFFERENT DRIVES OR FOLDERS, TAKE THAT INTO ACCOUNT FOR THE NEXT STEPS.***
2 – Right-click one of the “lower” folders you chose to install Tarkov (in my case it would be either “D:\Games\Tarkov” or “D:\Games\Tarkov\Client.0.13.5.3.26535”, both work) in Windows File Explorer, click “Properties”, then clear (empty) the “Read-only” box and press “Apply”. When asked, choose to apply to all files and subfolders too.
3 – Download the Fixer Tool (https://www.mediafire.com/file/bwfdh16tmv5yj9m OR https://gofile.io/d/PTzQMS), then extract and copy all files (“fixer” folder, EscapeFromTarkov.reg, EscapeFromTarkov.bat) into the game’s “Client.0.13.5.3.26535” folder.
4 – Open the “EscapeFromTarkov.reg” file with a text editor (I use Notepad++, Windows Notepad may or may not work since it could break formatting). Replace the address “C:\\Games\\EscapeFromTarkov\\fixer\\Uninstall.exe” with the right address for your “Uninstall.exe” file (depends on where you chose to install the game, as mentioned in **STEP 1**). In my case, I replaced it with “D:\\Games\\Tarkov\\Client.0.13.5.3.26535\\fixer\\Uninstall.exe” (I don’t know why the address uses double slashes ( \\ ) , but I assume they must be necessary so I added those as well). Save the changes, then open the .reg file by double clicking it. A warning window will pop up, just press “Yes”.
5 – You’ll notice there are two .EXE files in your main Tarkov directory named “Aki.Launcher.exe” and “Aki.Server.exe”. Rename the files to “Launcher1.exe” and “Server1.exe” respectively.
6 – Run the “EscapeFromTarkov.bat” file as an Administrator (Right click -> Run as administrator). That’s it, this will automatically do the last configuration steps, then launch the AKI server, then also open the game’s launcher a few seconds later. You should use this same .bat file every time you want to play the game.
6.5 – ***ENTIRELY OPTIONAL, MOST PEOPLE WON’T CARE ABOUT THIS OR WILL KNOW HOW TO DO IT ALREADY*** If you want a nice Desktop shortcut, you can create a shortcut to “EscapeFromTarkov.bat” (Right Click -> Create shortcut), then rename said shortcut and and Right-click it -> Properties -> Change Icon -> Navigate to your EscapeFromTarkov.exe file (In my case “D:\Games\Tarkov\Client.0.13.5.3.26535\EscapeFromTarkov.exe”), then select that icon. Looks legit.
And that’s it. Many thanks to the guys running this site, plus Levus, DimDim, the SPT-AKI team, SKIDROW, RELOADED and whoever else is out to share and help. Have a good one.

Glad to see you got it working, I was just thinking about what the problem could be and was about to suggest deleting the “cache” and “sptSettings” folders inside “Tarkov\Client.0.13.5.3.26535\user”. From what I’ve read, that can *sometimes* help, so anyone else who reads this is free to try that (doing it will reset game settings, though).

I’m extremely late, but does it succesfully save sometimes, or does it ALWAYS fail? Just in case, make sure the profile wipe box is disabled (https://i.imgur.com/JmCduQR.jpg). Otherwise, if it always fails it might be because of your profile folder being set as read-only.

This particular version is using SPT-Aki version 3.7.1. Can we download the latest one 3.7.3? and just copy and overwrite the files?
Yes, because SPT-AKI versions 3.7.1 to 3.7.3 use the same Tarkov version (v0.13.5.3.26535). Make a backup of your saves just in case, though.
@Meta what if a new version release after this version. what will i do with my current progression? should i overwrite with my new version or i have to start all over again ?
3.7.2 and 3.7.3 are already out, and you won’t lose progression on update. I can’t speak about future versions once Tarkov itself updates; the three latest SPT-AKI versions all use the same Tarkov version (v0.13.5.3.26535) to keep full compatibility. Always make a backup of your saves before updating, just in case.

so will tell us how to make a back up and how do i update my SPT-AKI version, as i have seen the current version of my SPT-AKI was 3.7.1 so please guide how can i make a back up and also update my SPT-AKI version without losing any progress.
Let’s start with making a profile backup, which is easy: Navigate to your main game folder (should look something like this: https://i.imgur.com/jXWrAHM.jpg), then open the “user” folder in there. You’ll see there’s a “profiles” folder inside. “profiles” is where your save (all your progress) is saved, so just make a copy of the “profiles” folder and paste it somewhere else for safekeeping. If you ever have a problem with your save, you can just overwrite it with your backup. I recommend making new backups often, just in case.
As for updating SPT-AKI:
1- Visit the 3.7.3 link I posted above, then scroll down to the bottom and download the “RELEASE-SPT-3.7.3-26535.zip” file.
2- Extract the files from that .ZIP to any empty folder. You should get these files: https://i.imgur.com/lzgoT56.jpg . If you followed my “install” guide above, you’ll have to redo **STEP 5** (rename the new “Aki.Launcher.exe” and “Aki.Server.exe” to “Launcher1.exe” and “Server1.exe” respectively).
3- Copy all of the files/folders you got in the previous step and paste them to your game’s main folder. You should get an overwrite prompt. Click yes, let it overwrite everything, then it’s done.

Hello guys. if you’re still having issue, read this.

The issue is not you or skill issue. It may be where you downloaded. I’ve spent all night getting EFT to work on my other computer (I’ve reinstalled windows + used win 10 ame) and it didnt work. my last ditch effort was to redownload.
here’s how I got it to work.
1. Download from 1FICHIER server.
2. Used (7zip) to extract. open archive, drag and drop EFT to where you want.)
3. Apply meta’s patch (btw you don’t need the double back slash)
3.5 Unmark entire folder as read only. do not worry if the folders keep reverting back to it.
4. Download latest version of SPT AKI (3.7.4) (for modding) :))
5. Run and test. make sure to run aki server and launcher as admin FIRST. (after you test it works, you do not need to run as admin anymore)
Make sure you test if it works before you mod the hell out of eft.

They did something to the Aki launcher on 3.7.5, now you can’t launch it even if you have the Tarkov uninstall path set right, do not update to 3.7.5 unless you figure out what code is needed to bypass it.
I did everything Meta written, but when i press start from SPT launcher, nothing happens. Anyone have this problem?
For those who updated SPT to 3.7.5 and above, the SPT-AKI team modified AKI.Launcher.exe and you won’t be able to launch the game even if you follow Meta’s guide. The solution now is after applying Meta’s patch, you need to download a third-party launcher, BALIST0N’s Alternative Launcher is an example (https://github.com/BALIST0N/SPT-AKI-Alternative-Launcher). Open the game using the alternative launcher and the game will launch, just make sure to unset Read-only for the entire game folder and you should be good to go. Have fun folks!

Well, as of today there isn’t any… the update is dependent on SPT AKI’s update and the dev team usually needs several weeks after a new official Tarkov version emerged.
Latest SPT version as of today is 3.7.6 and runs on previous Tarkov 0.13
Safe to assume that the update running on 0.14 will be called 3.8.0 something.
So check the official website https://hub.sp-tarkov.com/ to see what’s the latest version.
