If you’re using DS4Windows, just hit Hide DS4 in DS Settings, go to steam emu file (at the game folder) and open it, edit Steam Controller “008” to “001”. Just start the game. Enjoy it!
Something that worked for me was to use the steam option to add a non steam game to my library, launched it through there and my PS5 controller was working just fine.
add game as non steam game in steam, later go to game option, force controller. and thats work for me with PS5 controller.
You have to have DS4Windows Up N’ Running, but this worked for me when nothing else did.
1.Download “devreorder tool”
2. Run the included DeviceLister program, you will see a list of your input devices.
3. Open devreorder.ini (preferably using something like Notepad++ for easier navigation) and copy-paste the input device you want to use from DeviceLister to the .ini under [order] and [visible].
4. Save the edited .ini
5. Move both the edited devreorder.ini and the dinput8.dll in the x64 folder in your Elden Ring install folder.
And you’re done, it should work now. Worked for me with PS4 controller and Elden Ring running without any Steam Inputs, just DS4Windows.

The update works perfect. Just extract update folder content to game folder, and then crack folder.

Yes, copy the patch files into the game folder, after that copy the crack files and if asked overwrite everything.
For some reason my cursor is flashing and i get constant statter….. also if i al tab i cant use anything on my second screen like the game is forcing to be on top …

This update is pointless, the Plaza release already have implemented day 1 patch and game is updated to 1.0.2.
Regarding to error, the game runs ok on i7 4770/GTX 1070/16gb ram all on SSD. No errors, no crashes. There’s is some shuttering on some area’s and FS already working on this for future update. I play the game with Xbox one controller with no problems. Take care of your pc, the game is good with no major problems. Here are some gameplay from my channel

I got my controllers working by using Inputmapper instead of DS4Windows.
No matter what I tried in DS4 the camera would just be spinning around constantly, but I tried downloading inputmapper mapper instead in spite of not having used it for years at this point, and that worked right away without having change anything.
