To those who haven’t tried out this game yet, I recommend it if you like the idea of an indie Far Cry 3 (synopsis and story are almost identical to FC3, sadly no Vaas though) with more focus on exploration, problem solving and survival, melee combat instead of shooting, and added Dying Light-style parkour mechanics. This is not your typical Steam indieshit asset flip made to launder organized crime money, neither another open world endless crafting survival garbage game. Its level of polish and attention to detail is almost on par with AAA games, and it’s still in early access.
I tried it, but its survival another with alot shit about … it has story, you cant fight here much as youll end up with broken sticks( cant use wtf fists?) you play as girl but thats not problem and it has nice dying animations for indie Early access game story, voices… but bugs and nonlogist things. Exploration and knowing what going on. I thought its much worse.
@Kruger well I said the game is similar but not identical to FC3… unlike Ubisoft open world games it doesn’t hold your hand and you’re expected to explore the world and figure things on your own, and it’s not like in FC3 where early on in the game you can already have a one man army arsenal. As for bugs, I must say I haven’t run into any, at least not that I noticed.
It’s true that the first couple of hours of the game make you feel helpless, starter weapons such as sticks and 2x4s are indeed shitty and it’s better to avoid enemies and use stealth when possible, if there’s no choice but fight you must approach combat in a Dark Souls way, be patient and circle your enemy while waiting for an opening to attack, then back away and repeat. And facing more than 1 enemy at the same time before you get better weapons and boosters is suicide. But eventually you’ll find better weapons than sticks such as wrenches, crowbars and survival knives that do more damage and last a lot longer before breaking, and eventually you’ll come across ranged weapons. Later on you’ll also be able to use tools to restore weapon durability, and use plants to craft temporary strength and stamina boosters.
