D2R.exe is broken, that is why the game won’t work, I used D2R.exe from previous version and it starts.
Absolutely mind blowing to me how dumb and lazy people are nowadays. They have 3 easy steps on how to get this to work and yet everyone is confused or too stupid to follow that. This game works 100% with no issues *IF* you learn to read plan and simple English, then follow 3 easy steps. Such a shame that my 12 year old can figure this out, yet here are grown ass children who can’t.

If if crashes even if you follow the instructions, try reading the blz-log.txt afterwards.
For me, there was an error it could not find “.build.info” in the folder.
There is a “build.info” file. So i did the obvious and renamed it to .build.info and now it works.

I made the same thing and worked here.
On another note, Installing the current D2R Reimagined mod (version 1.13.1) appears to work just fine, despite it being meant for a much newer version of D2R.
To get it to work I had to uncheck “read-only” from the data folder and all its subfolders and files and it worked

black screen. tried all things here. copied contents of data folder and subfolders to root diablo 2 resurrection directory. apply .reg file. tried both d2r.exe and launcher… black screen.
the directions aren’t clear. are you supposed to copy the contents of the subfolders in /data to the root d2r directory too? or just them as subfolders? why did they make it so confusing

i can’t uncheck read only. dont know why… something about permissions not available, this is a major problem ive had to deal with tons of times. i dont know why the files cant be ‘unchecked’ read only in properties, but it doesnt work. there is a head ache and a half of crap you need to do to let the os allow you to take control of the folder and be able to uncheck read only. i dont know why or how the files are even read only since i can delete and overwrite them anyways. its a fucked up windows thing. i might troubleshoot some more later but after spending a few hours on permissions hell earlier im just kind of done. i dont understand why some games need this and most cracks dont.

A truly great game – and even better without all this DRM-shit and forced-online forced-multiplayer and logging-in somewhere before starting the game and whatnot.
I bought this game on PlayStation 4 a year ago (or two I don´t remember exactly when it was released) and even on PS4 all this forced-online and log-in and registration and DRM and monetization bullshit was literally everywhere around the place. This superb pirated version here is free of all these atrocities, and ready to rumble without any problems.

For all people who don´t know how to start this game, well I did nothing but double-clicking on “Diablo II Resurrected Launcher.exe” inside the Diablo 2 folder, and my Necromancer has now arrived in Act II.
So it´s really easy. There is nothing to crack or change inside the folders. Download this classic masterpiece and njoy some real good classic dark fantasy 🙂
Do you know how to change the language? By default it appears in Russian -.-
I go to properties of the main folder and click on “read only” for this and the subfolders. After then launch D2R.exe and it’s work for me.
since April 2022 there is D2R version 2.4 with changes to area levels, immunities and more..
what is this version 1.3.x exactly?

or launch the Diablo II Resurrected Launcher.exe. i did first.
