385 gb , I have no more space to download this and don’t want to download the game again because I have a lot of mods in different files
updater tells me that game is not installed how can i fix it

WTF 385 GB needed to install update from 1.23 to 1.3???
That update is only 34 GB I don’t understand!
i guess it is supposed to require 38gb of space(for unpacking reasons, those temporary files are deleted after use), but installer somehow misplaced a decimal point and asks for 380gb of space. it doesnt actually use all that space, and also an update of 38gb doesnt increase the game size by 38gb. most of the files are replacements, not additions. they have to do that on some updates because most modern games use big packages to store data, instead of many smaller ones. problem with this big package approach is that you cant edit them after they are shiped, you have to replace the whole package to update it. but it cuts down on loading times in game, and they are less prone to corruption/more secure i guess.
so just clear some space on the drive until the updates are complete. installer doesnt use all the space it asks from you. its annoying a little, but not the end of the world. you will still have the empty space after its done.

you have to download the file and only select the update from V1.23 to 1.30, the other version are installed.
‘This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer”…
Where the hell is the rest of the versions? Didn’t I commentrd on this? Did it get deleted? Just a few days ago, this site had CODEX and GOG (base game + 1.3 patch) versions. What happened?

@GS18 Stop trying to hack people with that BS. No way I am downloading an unconfirmed reg file.
Anyways, does anyone have a solution for “game installation not found” that is from a SAFE and CONFIRMED source? I don’t know why GOG released this when the previous 1.23 install was a no install.

The Reg file seems to work but the patch is stopping

For those who need help installing this update from v1.23
1. Go to https://www.regfiles.net/registry/cyberpunk-2077-registry
2. Select the appropriate Windows Version
3. Input the Path to the Cyberpunk 2077 Game folder. The path will depend on where you installed your game. Ex. “D:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077” or “C:\GOG Games\Cyberpunk 2077”
4. Set Version and Version Build ID to v.23
5. Site automatically generates needed .reg files.
6. Download the file.
7. Copy the downloaded .reg file to your game folder. Ex. “D:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077” or “C:\GOG Games\Cyberpunk 2077”
8. Double click the .reg file run it.
9. If successful, you should be able to install the v1.3 update
Note: For some reason, the installer won’t run unless you have 385.658GB of free storage even though it only really needs 38.5GB. The easiest fix, for now, is to temp free up space in your drive to run the update installer.

Please, add a proper version that can ACTUALLY be installed!
Why not simply release the full game at 1.3, instead of a patch that can’t find the game’s location?

This is why I waited, I knew it would probably not work, you just gave access to someone on your PC with that unconfirmed reg file, definitely check your PC just to be safe @laboulette
I’m staying on 1.23 as well until this is fixed by GOG himself/herself/themself
There is another new update everyone 1.3x . So scrap this one and GOG can redeem on the new update.
I have 480 gb free and the installer still says not enough space , help, pls
Is there a way to modify the installer so it does not require 385 GB of memory? It ain’t worth deleting half of my stuff so I could just install one patch.
Managed to free up space for the installer, ran the installer, a couple of errors showed up in the patch log. The patcher stopped working. Tried to run the game, only received a black screen when loading, music is on but no graphics or anything. Any suggestions?
my drive has 460GB free on it, but it still wont update from 1.23 to 1.3, saying there is not enough space, anyone knows why?
Please fix the 325gb update requirement. I have a Shadow VM and I am limited to 250gb including Windows so this is actually impossible for me…
