why is it using the space in the C drive?
it given me error

Been using STEAM version updates for my game the whole time without error, up until now.
Can’t seem to find a fix, but re-installing from scratch to test.

Found no resolve for this, and have been using STEAM version of updates without fail up until now.
Going to try fresh install and see what happens.
Please add more download sites. Not just these shitty pay-to-download ones

Everyone who is getting the error like ahmed mohmed and Wrathicus, you need to transfer the german files to game dic like the notes say even if you pick english.
NOOBS: The error its cos your antivirus quarantine the exe patch…thats why you cam install it morons.
Learn something about computers, not only gaming
It works fine but you HAVE to read the notes, do what they tell you and watch out for quarantining actions from your antivirus software.

Yea sorry to tell you fellow NOOB but I probably know more about PCs than you but yea… this case doesn’t have anything to do with antivirus since that’s turned off. Also German language is present, and still getting this error, tried clean install and updated to 1.12 fine and runs but can’t update to 1.2, so yea – dunno :/

After copying the german pack and trying to run the game @whoa! Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined….
I dont know why you guys having problem.. it’s just copying the language file first,and then run the patch, and then copy the crack again..
patch not work, give me error (directory no found or similar…) i put before german package and no virus in quarantine. dont’ work.

Honestly, the steps provided to install the patch do not work for a bunch of us here.
I’ve tried on fresh installs; turning antivirus completely off; allowing exceptions in both antivirus and firewall; running all as admin; tried different install directories; tried STEAM vs GOG version and still nothing. Steps are simple – Copy Language pack, run patch, copy crack, and make sure antivirus doesn’t fuck things up, but it’s not working.
Those dudes of you who claim to get it right and call the rest idiots – realize that there is probably something else at play here stopping us from updating – so at least provide your clear steps you went through to get this to work instead of condescending people who can’t get it to work.
What should i do with that file called “crack codex”

-german language pack copied
-plenty of space
However, the installer creates a temporary dir on my C drive, which does NOT have nearly enough space, with no option to change the drive the temp files are stored on. Could this be the issue?
It worked for me.
1) Make sure you have 1.12 version
2) Copy the two deutsch language archives into the existing game folder, in the matching folder, please.
3) Make sure you have free space on C drive, beyond the 64 free disk space, once it unpacks things into temporary folder in appdata (Cannot say how much tho)
4) Turn off your antivirus during the installation process
5) Run the patch as administrator, select the cyberpunk 2077 game folder, it’ll say if you have the necessary version
6) Decide if you want backup, log files and hashing verification. I chose the 3 of them.
7) Run and wait a lot, for me it was 2h44min, with patch and c drive on ssd and game on HDD.
8) After finishing, exit the setup, run the game, verify if the version on left bottom corner says 1.2, try loading a save.
9) Backup from previous version will be in the game folder …/backup. Delete it if everything was successfull, and you may delete the patcher as well
10) You can turn your antivirus on again…

The game was running smoothly enough before this update, now the streets are empty, totally empty. The game hangs for one or two seconds then all of the sudden pedestrians and cars shows up. They tried to fix the game, they really made it worse
This trash game will never work right. They ruined it already. Just give up and wait for next game

Unfortunatly it don’t work for me.
After “copy -> install -> crack”, the launcher opens but the game won’t launch.
Is there something i can do? another crack to download? or just wait and download the game already patched?

After update, the game says: “This app can’t run on your PC”
But, I can play un 1.1 version
for everyone having this problem where it says the required files doesn’t exist
it happened cuz the patch couldn’t find an exe file called (setup_redlauncher.exe) so what i did
was to go to
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Temp\is-0PT0O.tmp\PatchData
and setup_redlauncher.exe.xdelta and renamed it to just setup_redlauncher.exe
and copied it to the game root folder so that when the patch is replacing files it can find an exe file with that exact name to replace
