How would I install this when I installed the base game via the V1.05-GOG version on this same site? It didn’t come with an installer so the installer of this update doesn’t recognise it.

@PTS if u have installed 1.0.5 version and u want to update 1.0.6 but u got the error “this patch does not support your version” open the registry “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\GOG.com\Games\1423049311” and change buildId to 53968439607309789 and ver to Build_3233390Change_4173226 now it should works for you now u can update to 1.0.6 without any problems

Guide to upgrade to v1.06 from v1.05.
Open up “regedit” then navigate to this path:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\GOG.com\Games\1423049311
At the “buildId”, put in the value “53968439607309789”.
Lastly, put the path into your main game folder and run it with Admin priviledge.
I tested this myself and it works for me.
Im using the GOG version of this game, therefore i have never install this game in my PC. It’s pre-installed.
I have the same problem this patch does not support your version. I downloaded the .bat from the comments and it still doesn’t work. Now i did what helper 12345 says and i was able to update it without issue and the game works perfect. Thanks helper12345 !!

“can’t find the installation. please install it again”. every time the same message. i donwloaded the gog versione from here (1.05) and now i can’t patch it. gog 1.05 no need install so even if i try to find “computer\H-key etc” i can’t find the gog.com folder in it. is it possible to have a clear guide “how to install the patch with out the installation”? I configured the .bat to registry the ver 1.05, and I managed to install the update 1.06, or kinda.
The update stays open a while, updating, and suddenly says: access denied.
When I open the game, says, ver 1.06, so I dont worry to much. But, if someone has the same problem, plese tell me.
For those who downloaded the ver 1.05, copy this .bat to you game directory, execute as administrator, chose REMOVE, execute again, and chose ADD. That should let you update to the ver 1.06.

If you downloaded gog version 1.05 and the update 1.06 after do this steps :
-1 install the gog game 1.05 ofc
-2 create your registry entry with this link https://www.regfiles.net/registry/cyberpunk-2077-registry AND DO NOT FORGET TO MODIFY PATH like you can see on this screenshots https://imgur.com/H6a1GtB
-3 Now you can launch the patch.exe and you wont hav anymore erros like File not found (for patching): Path\archive\pc\content\basegame_1_engine.archive
If you downloaded gog version 1.05 and now the standalone gog update 1.06 you need to do thoses steps :
-1 Install the 1.05 game ofc
-2 Create the registry entry with this link https://www.regfiles.net/registry/cyberpunk-2077-registry
-3 Open Registry Entry you just created by going to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\GOG.com\Games\1423049311
-4 MODIFY PATH when you see the word with yours as you can see here : https://imgur.com/H6a1GtB
-5 Update the registry entry by changing buildId to 53975132558190849 AND ver to Build_3235023Change_4177747
-3 Then you can launch the standalone gog patch 1.06 and you wont have anymore errors like File not found (for patching): Path\archive\pc\content\basegame_1_engine.archive
the files inside the 1.06 rar are showing to be 1.05. is this a typo or did the wrong files get placed into the rar?

Tf why is the original gog version downloading again? The torrent is now downloading beyond 64.62gb, which was originally the size before any updates.

My installation went perfectly fine, updated from 1.04 to 1.05 then downloaded this one and installed it on top. Only problem is that it seems like i’ve lost the french language from the game since 1.05 is there a way to install the language pack again?
Hello guys, I downloaded and installed Cyberpunk GOG v1.3 but I was experiencing errors to apply the updates. I performed some procedures and it worked for me so I would like to share it here as it may work with someone else. Go to your computer’s Downloads folder and create a folder called Cyberpunk. Uninstall and install Cyberpunk GOG 1.3 again by right-clicking the installation application running as administrator and choosing the installation directory from the Cyberpunk folder you created earlier. After installation open the game by right-clicking on its shortcut and running as an administrator to test if it will work. If everything went well, download it here on the site and install each update in order (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 which is the most current at the moment I am sending this comment). Every time you install updates, always open the installation program by right-clicking and running as an administrator. Do not click on the installation window during the process to prevent it from crashing. Wait for the installation to be done. It usually takes around 30 minutes to install. So be sure to update only when you have enough time and patience. You should see a green message confirming that the update was successful. If it worked for you please comment here for more people to know.

Gog update is a pain to install. Just stick with the steam version and it was straightforward install minus the headache.
bro I downloaded GOG full game V.1.05 from this site 65GB obviously. I don’t really install after I download the game, just sit there in the folder after I download and it’s work fine …..

Even in fitgirl site a lot of people’s game got broken by gog update. Meanwhile here I am using the steam update, it was pretty easy, straightforward, and noob friendly. No need to worry anymore about registry or bat files and been playing on 1.06 a couple of days ago.
Hi Guys, I donwloaded the 1.04 version, that doesnt require install. It’s just the game folder. Do I use the steps that peopel are talking above? With the registry thing?
I give up this game for now. Everytime I try to update it, I get a list of errors.

Did what @hazar and @helper1234 and it kept saying the game was not same version. Then went into Regedit again and added the actual paths to the .exe file and everything and now it says updating, the window is frozen and the updating bar is not increasing… already waiting for 10 minutes and nothing.
Don’t know what else to do at this point…
Use the steam update guys it’s easier and more straightforward than gog. Just back up your game first before starting the update.
1) install the game with the 1.03 update.
2) install the universal 1.04 update. Then run the game to check if you’re in 1.04.
3) install the 1.05 steam update by elamigos which is 1.6 gb, then run the game after the update to check if it installed properly.
4) lastly install the 1.06 steam update by dyros which is 500mb, then after that run the game to check if you’re on 1.06.
That’s it. No registry to edit or programs to run anymore. This is what I did and I’ve been happily playing on 1.06 steam ver since like 3 or 4 days ago.
