   is there any difference between Steam and Codex version? I really don’t understand the point in this… EXPLAIN!

   just simply posting stuff without telling us the differences is about as good as not posting at all…

   @rtju: not their fault if you are illiterate because you don’t know difference between SCENE rls and P2P Rls.

   Anyway there is no difference between CODEX and STEAM Updates because CODEX is release Steam updates too not GOG, so if you already updated ur game with “v1.06-STEAM” update no need to use this one.

    Do not update to v1.06!

    My game wouldn’t start after updating.

    If you did then I recommend re-installing then update to 1.04 and then to 1.05

    v1.05 is very stable at most, .06 didn’t work for me.

    Update at your own risk!

    The difference between this patch and the 1.06 steam patch…
    This patch contains 1.04 1.05 & 1.06.
    Read the notes you need Cyberpunk 2077-Codex and this patch.

    Well, just so you lads know :
    I tried as mentioned above -> Cyberpunk-Codex + This update
    The result is a crash with an error report a few seconds after launching the game. (Also crashed my display driver for whatever reason)

    Now if I may ask, how do some of you manages to get it to work? The only thing working for me is the Steam version without updating.. As soon as I’m applying a patch (starting with 1.4) not only does it takes forever to install (On SSD / Gave up after more than an hour) but it also crash with the same error report. ><

    Guess this time buying the game will be easier

    Small update on my last comment, the game finally launched after I updated my video card driver, but crashed again after a few logos. On second try, I was able to make a character but the game crashed again right after while loading the game.
    This is a real mess, I’ll just wait for a more stable copy later or maybe buy it when it’s a bit cheaper.
    Anyway, good luck for those trying to make it work

    Use codex game then instal patch 1.03 then 04 then 05 then this 06 (important ) DO NOT VERIFI FILES or for some reason game dont work an u get error so instal patch in order and never verifi files enjoy PS: start game from E:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 and not from E:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\REDprelauncher thing for me is i used steam 1.06 so i am not even risking this xD am good as it is atm

    Dun know. I got the 1.03 off Fitgirl as well as the 1.04 (press 1 at the end of install) then installed the .05 and .06 steam patches from here since people where complaining there, everything worked fine.

    This is just a guess but I think people are having problems because of impatience? My P.C. is no powerhouse anymore. But the patches took a very long time to update. I basically had to devote a day installing the game.

    And to people saying not to install 1.06. Um you do realize that it addresses one of the most game-breaking bugs. (Save files corrupting when they become too large)

    Still playing no crash here works great do as i instructed on post before and it will work forgot 2 say update nvidia driver to but latest at date 2021 01 08 update for nvidia mest my game up a bit but after few start quit restart game work as before game still need tons of patches texture for once and polis is mest up thay just drop in from no where and if u kill many u can get 5-10+ cops + robots instant around u xD

    this patch 1.1 change language to english for all. So to change the language go in dir “Cyberpunk 2077/Bin/X64” open file “Steam_emu.ini”

    change:
    Language=english
    to :
    Language=french (or your other language)

    close and save

    Hi. I post this to tell you thanx. Work for me. Was long time to update but at the end, work fine. I need to see if this not delete my 80 hours of game play. Aparently not.
