It works for me. When you launch the installer, you need to specify the folder when your game in. Not an another folder. When the installation is finished, it can take several minutes to really finish and be able to move and click through. Works with another language game (French for me). Thanks a lot !

When I launch the game : dialogs (text and audio) are gone, when I check files integrity at the end of the hotfix installation I have 5 missing and 27 corrupted.

Voice works fine for me, be sure to select same language you have when you install the game, for exemple CODEX version is ENGLISH, when you install UPDATE choose ENGLISH not other language.

“D:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077” now when i will INSTALL the update it will ask me where is your game so i must select “Cyber punk 2077” folder to install properly.
Downloaded from the Uptobox Link on this page, the folder say steam version but now i have the GOG launcher…GG.
Just a little thanks for uploading the update only, no doubt there will be several patches in relatively quick succession considering the current state of the game and downloading the entire game every time would be very inconvenient to most, so thank you for the extra effort !

Well, it says this may take several minutes but after 45 minutes nothing happened also, the game files were deleted and the size decreased to 24 GB. Great update boiz.
When I install the hotfix (into the cyberpunk 2077 folder) it removes my Cyberpunk 2077.exe and I can’t launch the game, any ideas?

My gmae folder directory is corrected, waited 10mins for it to fully install, then when I started playing it still says 1.03v and my world is just black, I could move, see the map, hear things but everything is just black

Steven for me yesterday i switched my game from codex to gog like you described in the comments when i installed the update it looked like stuck and the size of the folder game kept changing back and forth after like 45 min i closed the update to run it again and then it said it’s applied already and when i open the game i see 1.04

@Diemtherfker: you fucked ur game when you closed UPDATE while it install. never Close Update while its installing. So now you have to Re-install the game again then Update. its normal Folder size will be decrease and increase or vice versa because Update need to change many files that why it happen. JUST WAIT GUYS WHILE YOU INSTALL THE GAME as i said +15 MIN for complete install in NVME SSD, imagine how will take in HDD or normal SSD (long time).

guys，dont install it on your game folder，install it on another folder，then copy all the content in your game folder.
to all who have problems with the voiceover go into your cyberpunk 2077 bin folder and locate the steam_emu.ini
locate the line with language=(whatever stands there)for me it was german because my windows is in german and change it back to
language=english
the voiceover should be working again at least it does for me
P.s. i had my game set to english voiceover but it didn´t work because the steam_emu.ini was set in the wrong language, i hope it works for you too have fun everyone

Quick guide for you:
1. Install game
2. Install patch – CHOOSE english, because codex already was english in base game [the same location, for example: program files/cyberpunk 2077/]
3. Wait after progress bar reach 100% another 5-15 minutes. Finnaly you can click on finish install window
4. Everything works – even voices.

it worked quite well on codex version after a fresh reinstall i got my folder size to 62.6 go like i did before when i switched from codex to gog version and when i open the game it says 1.04 seems good

My game is in “D:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077”.
In the installer I browse and select that folder.
When I click “Next”, the installer tells me that this folder already exists, and if I would like to install it in anyway. I click yes. It takes like a minute and its done.
When the file checker is launched, it detects that I dont have the required files.
When I launch the game the version is still 1.04.
Any help?

Why tf I have 1.03 even I’ve installed 1.04. Tried many options, for example: 1) installing in another folder; 2) Installing in the exact folder I need to B:\Games\Cyberpunk2077.

After update it’s keeping crashing on startup, first time I launched ,worked around some settings and wanted to play the game, then suddenly crashed. And now whenever I launch the game it’s crashing on CD Poject RED screen.
Gonna Re-install the game without the update.
If you’re missing voice, it means you installed the update with incorrect language. CODEX only supports English. To get voices back, go to \CP2077\bin\x64 and edit steam_emu.ini with notepad. Simply change language to “english” and you’re good to go.
It is literally installing longer than whole game from GOG
So on the crash note its on the SVX instructions found this online and it works Open Cyberpunk2077.exe in a hexadecimal editor. After that, look for “554881ECA00000000F2970E8” and change the first byte to C3. If you don’t know how that works, just replace it with “C34881ECA00000000F2970E8” and save. Launch Cyberpunk 2077 and the Error 0xC000001D will be fixed.

since the GOG version is failed to update on my end, can i switch from GOG version to CODEX version?
Im running an i5 7400 and a GTX1070 and i get consistant 60+ FPS all over. no glitiches.
Turn of grain and blur and all that shit. change the pedestrian density to medium and turn shadows down to medium.

Guys honestly i thought this was a virus or a fake patch. It works i have a M2 970 evo, the installation was like 4 min maybe less. Install it in the same folder you have the game and wait dont touch the installation app.

2.1: While patch shows its completed dont turn off installer. And wait for half hour atleast. Check game size it should be around 70 GB Without Languages.

I had no voices after updating to 1.04. heres my solution:
Ive noticed rhat after patch my languange was set to my system language, except audio (still eng) as i had no other language pack. But it seems its actually set to your system language but you just dont see it and cant really change it.
Seems language options get broken if you dont have your language pack.
I downloaded language pack and installed it.
Then game started and i could finally change audio from my system language to english again.
Its probably possible to just switch your system language from whatever you are using to english, and then starting the game but didnt try it
It works just fine for me, I was worried at first with some ppl saying it doesn’t work and all that. But after trying and just using a little common sense of how to extract and put the update folder in the game folder all done without any problems. It’s Version 1.04 no issue everything is smooth sailing. It’s a wonder how a little common sense can go a long way lol

Installed the update with no issues.
Unpacked the update file to the drive where the game is installed (not the folder itself)
ran the *.exe file (chose English for the installer language)
Went through the progress bar in several seconds but stayed at the end part for about 10-15 min.
I didn’t run the file integrity check
Ran the game and runs just fine with my save-game and all, see 1.4 version

This patch is broken. Needed to install the game again.
Please note, at the end of the install it will take at least 10 minutes to “finalize” do not close the installer. eventually, it will present you with the option to click “finish”. just be patient 🙂

So I had the same issue of the Update beeing stuck while finishing the installation.
I closed it via task manager(it didnt respond klicking the X) and checked the files, Cyberpunk2077.exe was lost, I just inserted it from the codex file and its running now. So in case you abroted your update…try that before you uninstall it al over:)

Just because patch is working for you doesnt mean it will work for everyone. Ive been playing cracked games for more than 20 years, probably some of you who are being non constructive and calling names to others were not even born and i was already playing cracked games, I know how to patch or install a cracked game. THIS PATCH IS NOT WORKING FOR EVERYONE.

Important :
1/ Bien laisser le patch s’installer (entre 5 à plus de 30mn selon votre configuration), c’est impératif pour éviter toutes problèmatiques supplémentaires.
Il faut évidemment indiquer l’emplacement de destination du jeux.
2/ En théorie, vous devriez avoir un soucis au niveau de la partie audio (plus de son, plus de voix ect…)
3/ Il faut simplement se rendre dans le dossier du jeux, cibler le fichier steam_emu.ini, l’ouvrir et changer la partie language par une autre langue que ce que vous aviez au départ. Par exemple pour ma part c’était sur french, j’ai remis english. Ensuite enregistrer le fichier temporairement sur votre bureau et le copier coller dans le dossier de jeux. Lancer le jeux, vous constaterez qu’il aura changer de langue mais surtout que le son sera de retour !
Refaire la même chose en remettant votre langue d’origine et relancer le jeux ….Bon jeux ^^

Hey, I did my update on the same location as my codex cyberpunk, but when I verify the files, it says that many files are missing. And when I launch the game its still 1.03
For those having dll error, your torrent is corrupted, i fixed mine (uTorrent) by replacing iso file somewhere else starting redownload torrent, quit – replaced with corrupted file, and client downloaded missing/corrupted parts, hope it helps
If your game is not opening it is because most likely something deleted the cracked files which very occasionally are detected as viruses by multiple computer software. Also, mine is stuck at finishing installation…

Then I uninstall Cyberpunk and reinstall it. I didn’t move crack files. I installed Update. it works.

Good day for all the people that is getting missing files or corrupt files even crash after update, solution is very simple, select the same directory that your games is install, when it say cyberpunk is already install and should install in the same folder select yes, then select English, then agree to all but make sure you have at least 140gig of free space on that drive or else you will have the above problems and finally when it look like it stuck it isn’t just wait several minutes can even take 15 minutes as well mine take 7 and it was a hdd and that’s it….simple doh 😀

ERRATUM : HOW TO KEEP PLAYING IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE AFTER THE PATCH

– move from your language to ENGLISH.
Save the file and close it.
–> Start the game, load your game, surprise your game is in english and the voice works.
–> Close the game.
–> Steam_emu.ini
– language: move from ENGLISH to YOUR LANGUAGE.
Save and close.
–> Start the game again, it works 🙂
The game was running on ultra perfectly with no lag at DAY1
After 5 hours of gameplay I can’t dodge a Crash even with low graph…

patch work perfectly fine.. choose destination folder and install..just take note, during finishing installation it will look like stuck within 10/15 minute.dont stop or close it yet.. my verification files all ok, with no error.
if you lost subtitle when you patched the game , go to Cyberpunk folder bin/x64/steam_emu.ini and replace language=**** with your default language when your install the game

ERRATUM BIS: After the Patch my Lang_Voice has been deleted. You just have to download your lang_voice.archive and put it in your archive. It works. Sorry for the spam :X

2. Here’s most peoples problem; Install in your Cyberpunk directory (the installer is automatically set to c:\games\cyberpunk whatever, chose the folder you insalled your game, For example, mines installed on E:\Games\Cyberpunk)
3. The last part of the installer WILL TAKE AWHILE, I’ve got a fairly high-end pc and took 20-30 minutes (made a cup tea, sandwich) so this may take longer, depending on your pc, if your running a potato, it’ll take much longer.
4. DO NOT TASK END THE LAST PART OF THE INSTALLATION (Doing this, you are essentially deleting important files)
5. No audio dialogue? Go into the cyberpunk directory (Cyberpunk 2077\Bin\x64) find the steam.emi.ini file something like that, find Language line and put in English
Update just breaks the game for me reinstall the game and tried again keeps breaking some files, I will wait for a better update who works for everyone

I installed the update and its working.
I reinstall cyberpunk codex because i miss an important step. After installing via codex, you should check the box that says copy codex file to install directory.
Then apply the update on the same directory, wait to 5-15 mins and done.
i installed the update, but whe i opened the game it changed the language to spanish, and now i can change the text back but the voices are gone do i have to reinstall?

Just applied the update on the codex version, took 15 min after the bar reached 100%. Works perfectly no errors with audio or anything, also getting about 5 fps more. Thank you!!
during update files randomly fail to update (CRC mismatch). I tried several times, without luck (each time I re-installed the game and tried to do an upgrade again). Finally I start copying each file which was successfully upgraded to a separate folder and when I got all of them I replaced wrong files. Those however took me a day.

For those who have problem with missing voices. Dont change the language in Steam_emu.ini file. It must be English. I’m from Poland and i change it to polish. After few hours of searching for solution i changed this value to english again and boom! voices are back
Worked but I am really upset the update installer is encrypted and password protected. This is a cracked game and a cracked update, why put DRM on your installers Elamigos?

My game simply won’t launch when I run the .exe. Anytime I try this happens: REDEngineErrorReporter appears in task manager for a split second while cyberpunk2077.exe-20201213-182402-6684-8208.txt appears for a split second in the x64 file. These have been my attempts to fix this but nothing has worked so far.
I checked utorrent for corrupted files but found none.
I installed offline
I updated to 1.04 offline.
For install setup I selected “copy contents of CODEX directory to installdir.”
I updated my drivers and restarted pc.
I ran .exe in admin mode.
I used crack files that came with the iso.
I changed the .exe compatibility mode to win 7.
If anyone else has had this issue and knows a fix I would greatly appreciate it. I have a i5 6600k and a gigabyte geforce gtx 1070 g1 running on win7 x64.

Hi guys, I have a problem. When I start patch update on my SSD and find location of my game (c: program files/cyberpunk 2077), it says that the patch is done in like 10 seconds and when I try to verify my files 37 of them are bad, but I can still start game normally, and below menu it still says 1.03v of the game. I even tried reistalling the game and then patching. Any advice would help.

So I’ve had it running for over 6 hours now and its still locked on finishing installation, Whats the average wait time for HDD because surely its not this long
For all those having issues with it failing to launch, or missing files I think I’ve figured out why.
In my case, I had applied the AMD fix and modified the EXE – as a result, the patch thought it finished but didn’t and instead deleted ~30GB data. You can see this by the folder size and the face the EXE was 40MB vs the usual ~60MB.
I had to reinstall over the top, re-run the patch and it worked a treat after.
So, if you’ve modified the EXE, make sure you replace it with the original one BEFORE running the patch!
I install in my game folder in english option. Does not work (137 files missing).
Its still in 1.03v, but the game runs normal.
I will wait more patches to fix this game and then buy on the steam to support the devs.

I installed the update into my directory, everything went smoothly. When I validated the installation I had 136 files missing. When I started the game, after updating, I was still showing v1.03. Yes, I am running the Codex version. Yes it is installed in the proper directory. If anyone has any clue what is causing this I would appreciate some feedback, thanks! Luckily the base Codex version of Cyberpunk 2077 works excellently.

This update works 100%, you need CODEX and when u’r installing select ENGLISH because codex has english and pick the directory where u installed the game, it will prompt you to override, you click yes.
the install will get stuck at the end, just wait it out, on my HDD i had to wait like 20 mins ( went to take a shit, came back was ok ) 😀
game shows 1.4 on menu and you gain like 0.5 fps lol and minor minor minoooooooor fixes of bugs.

Works fine just start the setup and choose the game folder then click install and if it says folder already exists just click continue then wait until the setup finishes and check files after a couple of min

Ok. I worked it out. to run the patch and for it to finish successfully you MUST right click run as admin. without this, it will become stuck finalizing forever. I learnt the hard way. I didn’t run as admin first time it fucked my game and now having to redownload the whole game via codex. which will contain update automatically. but honestly. the time I wasted on this patch I wish I had just done that from the start. My experience with this patch was far worse than any bug I had encountered in-game. Knowing now it needed to be run as admin yes it would have been fine, but due to the lack of instruction SO much time has been wasted. People can argue that I am the one at fault here. But i think if your uploading software which has a fundamental flaw in it. You should prob provide 1 line of instruction for it to be avoided. I imagine this has happened to SO many people. End of the day… It’s just a bit shit you released such flawed patcher without instruction.

Apply this update and also download latest game drivers!!!!!!! I used this update and installed directly to the game directory which in my case was D/Games/Cyberpunk.Took about 15 min to install, I ran the file verification and everything checked out fine. Game still wouldn’t boot, so I downloaded nvidia geforce experience program to my computer and let it optimize game settings (still the game crashed), then I downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia and everything works now.

I had no problems with the instalation of the update, i changed my steam_emu back to the original (english) i run the update exe, choose the game folder and wait, the progress bar filled very quickly, but it took some time until it finishes by itself, i guess that took half an hour until it’s done, I unchecked the verification box and closed the installer.
Then the game run normaly with the update, i changed to my mother language in the option menu.
The game it1s working, but i diddn’t noticed any diference still a verry bugged game…

The Patch Notes from Official Pages says:
“PC-specific
Switching language to default in the in-game settings now correctly sets it to the language of your Steam client.”
So just a guess but maybe disable and/or change steam-language beforehand or if you, what is stupid but likely, looking in this commend section after recognized issues, try find an .ini to set your language again correctly on english.
