@martas: it work well for me, btw do you have PRELOAD-GOG or GOG (with installer) ? btw so i can explain to you they are the samething, just different that PRELOAD-GOG already installed so i think you need REGISTER File so the game location will be registered in your computer that why Update didn’t find Location, but for GOG (with installer) already registered when you install the game.
so if its for PRELOAD will try find register file if its available

i tried installing it by using the .exe but after some time the progress bar does not move and the installation fails. On the patch log it says: Game patch log

how do i stall the patch?
Patcher works fine on 1.03 GOG version – simply put both files in install directory, run patcher – wait about 10 mins (on an SSD) then it should come up successful. No issues at all. Takes ages, check drive usage in task man (should be pinned at 100%) to make sure is working if in doubt.

First i got ERROR that update didn’t find game location so i fix it with REGISTER (my links above)
READ: be sure you put Exact PATH of ur game location in REG File with \\ instead of one \. to avoid missing files error

Be sure to rename ur current game folder to the same path in torrent, for exemple ur current game location is “D:\CyberPunk 2077” creat folder in “D:\” named “Cyberpunk.2077.GOG.Rip-InsaneRamZes” and put ur game folder inside it so it will be like that “D\Cyberpunk.2077.GOG.Rip-InsaneRamZes\CyberPunk 2077” then open torrent and re-hash it with new torrent (v1.04-GOG).

Pra instalar o patch, basta colocar os arquivos na pasta principal da instalação do jogo e executar o .EXE
Demorou uns 20 min, mas foi de boa, sem erros.
A minha versão é a GOG.

It freezes like hell but if you check task manager, you can see that it is working with delta3.exe comparing files.

Tried both the batch file and the registry entry, edited both, neither worked. Patch refuses to install.
Registry entry worked because this is the install directory of my game, so it’s reading the correct install directory it’s just refusing to install the patch:

Hey guys, I have the 1.03 GOG version and was getting those “Error modifying” errors. But the patched installed successfully now. How I did it:
Originally I ran the updater and it looked like it stalled, so I force closed it. After seeing comments here that freezing is expected, I let it run again, but it failed after 5 minutes and I saw the errors in the log file. Then I thought that maybe the files were corrupted by the first update I cancelled. Luckily I had made a copy of the game folder before I tried the update, so I renamed the folders so that the untouched version now matched the expected path. Then I ran the update and didn’t force close it. After 5 minutes the update succeeded.
If you didn’t make a copy of the game and don’t have the install files anymore, I noticed that the updater made an “archive” folder. Try using those files to overwrite the corrupted ones, then run the updater again.

Your awsome bro his tuto work on codex version i updated to v1.04.
i will add few things:
– Steven you did a mistake on REF file “exe” and “launchCommand” path :
the right one : “D:\\Games\\CyberPunk 2077\\bin\\x64\\Cyberpunk2077.exe ” (2077 missing on name folder) ofc you need to put your right paths.
– For the update 1.04, copy both files on “Bin/x64” game folder and run the .exe file.
Shit update installer won’t work. done the bat, reg and what not… have them errors like everyone else…
Re-hashing sets your download to around 60% so now I have to wait hours to download this crap again.

My installer has been running for over 20 minutes with no progress ( also it is at 0% on Disk usage in Task Manager ). Anything I can do .. or just rehash the v1.04 torrent at this point?
I followed the CODEX -> GOG changer, but the updated tells me “There is not enought space for the update.” There is 70 GBs left on my SSD and other drive has 150 GBs left. Neither of them works. Any solution?

The update works, it just takes for ever and the installer looks like its frozen but you have to let it run for like 15-20 minutes
I converted CODEX ver. to GOG ver. and it worked just fine, but then I tried to patch the game to ver. 1.4, and the patcher says I don’t have enough free space on my HDD, when I have almost 400GB of free space still available. Tried running as admin. Nothing changed. Any thoughts?
Never thought I’d leave a comment on this site, but man is this situation frustrating. I have the GOG version that was posted on here, downloaded this and it is refusing to work. I moved the patch and bin to the main directory, C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyberpunk 2077, and even right clicked and ran as admin (pointless since even double clicking this installer will result in it asking for admin privileges anyways). Installer opens, I select english and hit install, progress bar stays the same the entire time until 10 to 20 minutes later I’m hit with the “some errors occurred” message.
Crazy how people converting their steam version to gog are having better luck with this updater than us people who downloaded the GOG version to begin with.

do not fcking convert your codex to gog, gog is fcking bugged, its patcher dont even work or gets stuck and quits, just dont convert and wait for proper codex setup
Did the batch file in the directory, removed the “read only” from the main directory and all the folders inside, and the .exe just wont work. Idk what else I could do, or if the .exe is just broken since almost everyone is having trouble installing a simple patch.
For anyone getting error in the log:
1. Use registry .bat as an admin
2. Run patch as an admin
Despite all the errors in the log, launch the game because it’s actually updated!
No problems here with the GOG-version of the game, and this update. It updated just fine, albeit slightly slow. I did NOT put the updater in the game directory. There’s no reason to do so as the updater will automatically detect the installation folder.
It didn’t work for me either. The patch won’t move for 10-20 minutes and then it stops.
It’ll be faster to download the whole 1.04 game again and install it haha..
i have the GOG 109gb and try 20 minimimum times to update and NOTHING. Say updating but dont make nothing. Try the Steve files and nothing… its better download again the 109gb with update lol…

@Afz: 1.5 TB in C: ? if Not, i think your C: Drive is almost full, Update try to unpack files in C: (+20 GB Files) in order to install the Update

having the same error as everyone. deleted the game, installed again, installed the update. works. thanks for the suport.
so, i put it in my SSD but the reg and then installer just install the wrong directory, i mean already use the path that i use for the game but it just go to the wrong directory. what should i do?
If you’re trying to install and it’s giving an error, get your saved game, reinstall the game, after installing do not open the game yet, place the patch in the same directory of the game and install the patch and see if it works, it worked for me , I hope for you too..

If you get:
“Error modifying…” give the game folder and files contained write permission. It was read only in my case and it worked after I’ve done that. So right click Cyberpunk 2077 Folder then Properties/General /Attributes and uncheck “Read only” then hit OK and try and install the patch again.
You msut WAIT, and the patch will be installed automaticly, from 0 % to 100% ! work well on this GOG version !
yo the bar in the updater doesnt move ignore the errors and wait for an hour if you want check to folder size to know when its finished should be about 113 gigs after update is finished
I had GOG version 1.03. Tried to install and it failed. I read here that I had to remove “read-only” attribute from the game folder. It didn’t work. Then I uninstall the game (I kept the installation), remove the “read-only” attribute from the game, and only after that I run the update as admin. It worked flawlessly for me.
All is perfect !

Guys its the issues with the 1.03 installer if you notice the directory it is “C:\GOG GameCyberpunk 2077” not “C:\GOG Game\Cyberpunk 2077” hence the updater cant find the file. Wo when you install do take note of the directory.

Today I got home and didn’t even feel like playing cyberpunk. The little I played was a bad experience. The bugs are too many. Until now I have not played a mission without having them.

At the end it display an error message for some files but it did worked : I think it’s about language, my game turn back in english
