Hey guys, it’s a decent game despite of how it looks. Yeah, I know its graphics aren’t up to nowadays standards… and the game developers are greedy AF… charging you for a simple patch/game fix, calling it a “DLC”, banning you from their forums unless you’re a fanboy, etc… Now that the game is on Steam they can’t delete comments and they must accept criticism…. and I now it got cracked I hope the prices and their DLC practices get a bit more reasonable.
If you like TBS, tactical, military games… then you might give this one a try. Similar games I can think of are: Graviteam Tactics, Armored Brigade, Close Combat (Series)…

It doesn’t work. Just a blank screen.
The game works just fine. Just double click on “CM Shock Force.exe” or “Launcher.exe” from the game folder and it will run automatically. If it doesn’t maybe your antivirus blocked some files or you’re missing some Windows software (Netframework, DirectX, etc…) . But if you already play other games I doubt you’re missing the software required to run this game.
BTW, I downloaded the game using torrent.
My Specs, Win 10, i5 7300HQ, 16GB RAM, GTX1050 4GB, Intel HD630. The game will try to run using the integrated graphics (HD630), so I had to change that manually, other than that it works fine.

I believe you are talking out your asshole mate, i just grabbed it off pirate bay and it has a steam launcher exe and works fine or this is the Dev website version and is dodgy as fuck.

this game forbids you to do collateral damage. if you attack Mosques and any other buildings that have no military significance, you automatically lose
I’ve blocked outgoing comm for exe file and launcher in firewall but still it wants to connect with steam. Any solution for this?
@Aruzen I have the folder excluded from my antivirus, I don’t seem to miss any distributable software (all the other games play fine)… how did you change the graphics preferences? From a config file? As I cannot access any menu I don’t seem to be able to modify any config.

The game runs fine but the units wont move at all they just sit there and not move just are stuck spotting
@DevilDOg I just checked (when I finally got time to play) and you’re right. The units won’t move! I tried in turn-based and in real time mode too… but they’d stay still just spotting and firing occasionally, well some units moved after two minutes or something, not as intended tho 🙁 I want my money back!!!!

Yep, not working here either but there are threads in the official steam forum with the same issue. Not sure if that’s just cheeky pirates hoping for a fix or legit purchases. This is a strange one, reminds me of the anti-piracy stuff they had in arma where tanks would flip if you had a dodgy copy.
Hope the fix comes out soon for the units not moving

this game is one of the examples of quality of game above the graphics, yes the graphics look bad, but that is not the focus of this game, this is one of the most, if not the most detailed combat strategy game there is.
Every single thing is modelled in the back end, from morale, to weather, etc etc etc.
Very recommended to give it a try, especialy if you are into military strategy and want to have a feeling of how it is to be a true commander.

Yes, I swear I was thinking the same! This reminded me of the Arma anti-piracy system back then. I remember you could “run” the game but it would be full of unplayable (intended) “bugs” such as your character randomly turning into a seagull, the shaky drunken camera effect (like GTA when you get drunk) and the “impossible aim” (you couldn’t hit anything) among others…
I hope they find a fix. I’ll be waiting 🙂

Hey guys my game didn’t work at first then i checked thepiratebay and they have uploaded combat mission shock force 2 uploaded by dauphong. This specific download worked perfectly for me. In fact i am playing this game right now :}

I searched for that specific version on TPB and when I was adding the magnet link to my torrent client I realized I was already downloading it (a couple of days ago) but I stopped the download midway because the torrent size was too small, it was a “single compressed file” and I got the magnet from a scammy looking website.

I wanted to add that some dude uploaded tons of missions and campaigns from CM:Shock Force 1 that can be exported to CMSF2
Just Google: “CMSF1 scenarios & campaigns” and one of the firsts results will be a post by a dude in the “community.battlefront” site…. download those RAR files and extract them to your CMSF2/game files/scenarios or campaigns folders (respectively). JUST IN CASE DO NOT overwrite anything when
prompted… and done, you now have more missions from the previous game to play.

The thing is they already did remaster the campaign for SF2 but still hoping elias is right and the game from PB is actually working correctly so i can start playing

Where is combat mission black sea it was programmed to be availble at the site 21st of january ,we are the 11th of february and still nothing come on guyes i know you can add a simple game like this one ,if you did crack shock force 2 what is the matter with black sea why isn t it still availble here ?
