its a reincarnation , it needs to stay true to the original. if it does that with gameplay i dont know yet. but it doesnt need 2015 AAA graphics. its needs the graphics that make u remember the good old days when you played the original

Works fine here.. Steering sux ass tho. Graphics are ok (put it on Max resolution and had to reboot game) looks smooth. Its the graphics of the origional but upgraded. Which i expected. Since its a reincarnation.
Over all its sort of fun. Didnt like the origional to begin with.

Dear Carmageddon freaks – I am not a kid who doesn’t remember old games. I even played River Raid or Road Race on my own Atari XL computer. But come on – this game has lot of graphics settings, I have good PC with i5 and 660 and still this game runs smooth only on low details. On high details looks similar to low, so who cares, right? But this game is very unoptimized. I saw some remakes that looks great and runs great. This one doesn’t. This one looks like old game, which may be good, but also requires modern powerfull pc to play smoothly on high settings. And, what is most important, if graphics is not important for you, then why remake? Just install first Carmageddon and good luck – the same fun and lot faster loading times. BTW. loading times are horrible.
I loved Carmageddon 3 TDR2000 so much! I even played it a little as late as last year. There were so many cool tracks and WAY cool things you could do … too many to mention here.
Sad to say: I dl’ed the early release of this one here and was BITTERLY disappointed. Nothing to do with graphics; the gameplay, car control, crappy levels and general lack of cool stuff had me uninstalling it SO FAST.
Even so, cos the original was so great and cos the other I tried was early release I am still tempted to dl this one if ONLY you guys would upload it somewhere cool (UP07 is super-slow dogshit). Hopefully the FTP link will eventually get there (always takes for-fucking-ever) and I’ll probably grab this cos as I already said, TDR2000 the original was loads of fun … for me, my friends, my daughter and even customers when I put it on their PCs I fixed.

The game doesn’t save progress, i tried reinstalling but to no avail. Maybe some future patch will solve this shit.
I’ve played the game after I updated my windows. Unfortunately it does not save my progress and every time I open the game it begins from the tutorial…

The save doesn’t work.
When you try to plug a controller, a strange bug appears, the rear view of your car is turned so you are not back of your car, but on the side. Sorry for my english, but this bug is really annoing…i really hate to play a car game with a keyboard.
I always loved Carmaggeddon, but this version came with no change since the first version.

when i start the game (after a long time loading) it shows the interface and sounds is ok, but i do not see the road or the cars. the screen is just in different colors but the HUD is fine. was able to drive using only the minimap, dont see anything else…

It worked! :3 Altough before trying your trick i tried changing a lot of things in codex.ini file. And idk why but i blocked the connection for the game..
for quick deleting the file just create a new .”txt” file and past the folloing:
C:
del “C:\Users\******\AppData\Roaming\Steam\CODEX\249380\filemappings.ini”
save the file and rename it from “.txt” to “.bat” and just execute it befor playing 😉

Actually, I dl’ed this and it’s great! Much MUCH better than the shitty early release crap. It has a few probs like the first car gets outta control on fast corners, fishtails all over the place and you can’t correct it without stopping but you still can really STOOMPF into other cars and peds … lotsa fun.
So far it seems really good and well worth a dl.
Btw, I dl’ed with a torrent; not from this page cos there’s only a useless U07 link here.
PS. Saves weren’t working so I got the crackfix and now it’s all cool. Crackfix can be gotten here:

the real first one bloody game that was published was carmageddon then vigilante 8 for nintengo 64 and then twisted metal and now days any other shit is the copy of this beautyful game gamer since 94′
Just like OldKid says, when I start the actual game, I can’t see the road or the cars, I can hear the sounds, I can see the HUD, I can see the minimap, even the real map with tab key, but no roads, no car, just hear myself being hit by other cars.
Any possible solution for this?

Takes almost 3 Gb of memory, crappy graphics, glitchy gameplay, horrible controls, shitty engine.
I don’t know how this game could be any worse than it is. Seriously. Also waaaay to heavy (13gb from your hd).
Doesn’t worth downloading, traying and playing. Spent more time installing it than playing it (for real, i couldn’t play this piece of junk for 5 minutes).
