Thank you!
I don’t know what the draw is for people with block games anymore. Hasn’t it run it’s course now?
this game doesnt work, i get an error.
well i fixed it by dumping the data folder in the bin folder, BUT in game if i try to play in singleplayer, it cant connect to the main server or something. 🙁
dont work
“error creating sharder :file does not exist C:game/avorion/bin/data/Shaders/text.vert
need device support opengl3 blablabla
OpenGl problem 🙁 anyone have solution?
Seems to crash on start.
Thank you, But for me doesn’t work.
Unplayable !
Sorry for the late response.
– Copy (not move or cut) the “data” folder into the “bin” folder.
– Start the game with the desktop shortcut and create a new game. It will fail to start the game.
– Then in the game folder start the game with “client” batch file. And load the game you earlier created.
That’s how it worked for me.
Also did change the line in the “steam_emu” file
### Set Steam connection to offline mode
###
Offline=1
Same shit : problem with OpenGL , “text.vert” does not exist….. first of all: the path is wrong…the data folder is in Avorion folder and not in bin… and when you copy this file in the right path the game gives the same error..
@Traitor i did all yer said
But it didn’t work
I get an error that says
Connection lost
Connection closed
I think i’ll wait a bit for when a better crack gets released
TRICK OR TREAT
copy the data file into bin file
then start the game in single player
it will say connection lost
then without closing the game, open task manager go to background processes and end Aorion server
the press single player and play it should work.
Seems like the X series.
Wolf, is it works like that? The same issue remains…
@Traitor Thank you, it work for me.
@Wolf Thank you 。You helped me
I combined the suggestions made by both Wolf and Traitor and got it working.
1: Copy “data” folder into “bin” file
2: In the “bin” folder you will find “steam_emu”, open it and edit “Offline=0” to “Offline=1”
3: Launch the game (probably shortcut)
4: Start singleplayer, after it shows you “Conntction Lost”, open task manager “ctrl+alt+delete”, find a process named: “Avorion server” and terminate/end it. Get back to your game (still running)
5: Retry loading singleplayer, it should start properly this time.
Can’t say for sure, but from what I tested you don’t have to do it again when re-launching the game.
If the connection error re-occurs, try terminating the process once more I guess.
Does the LAN multiplayer work?
I’m actually playing the game fine WITHOUT needing to force terminate the avorionserver.exe. Just follow what traitor said.
1. Copy and paste the bin folder from the ISO to the folder you installed the game into, making sure they combine.
2. Start the game and start single player, and create your galaxy.
3. Let it fail to start the new game and close the game.
4. Go to the Bin folder of the install and open up steam_emu.ini and look for the
Set Steam connection to offline mode
5. Change the number from 0 to 1 to enable offline mode. This will bypass the connection check.
6. Open up client.bin and enjoy your game
You don’t need to force close avorianserver.exe Do what traitor said.
1. Copy and paste Bin from ISO folder into the install path, making sure they get combined. Overwrite.
2. Start the game and let it fail to start a new game. Close it
3. Go to Bin folder and locate the file steam_emu.ini
4. Look for the steam offline mode and change the number below it, from 0 to 1.
5. Open client.bat and enjoy the game.
ending Avorion server process works for me
It works for me. I moved data folder to bin filder. It solved OpenGL problem. Then I started the game and created Singleplayer Galaxy named SOMEHOW. Then I closed the game, configured server.ini (if you want users->username->appdata->roaming->Avorion->Galaxyname) and run AvorionServer.exe with “–galaxy-name SOMEHOW” parameter. The server must remain running in the window (you need only know /save = save, /stop = exit). Then I run the game -> Multiplayer -> via IP -> I see my server, Join. It takes some time -> Connecting -> Loading -> game starts. If you failed in Connecting (timeout after 1 minute), you need experiment with IP, port, firewall – see server.ini).
