   The original D&D got a lot of its aesthetic from Conan stories,
   as much as from LOTR. It was intended to be realistically masculine,
   within a high fantasy scenario. It came from table top war gaming.

   But you have to be pretty smart to play it.
   So you ended up with a bunch of “intellectuals”,
   with shit degree’s, and general college campus faggotry.
